9 Fun ways to spend Father’s Day

Looking for simple and meaningful Father’s Day activities? Check out these fun activities for children of all ages and dads with all different interests.

1. Play Mini-Golf
Whether Dad is a pro on the golf course or more of a putt-putt kind of guy, an afternoon of golf is fun for fathers and kids alike. Stick with miniature golf if the kids are beginners. Right now The Conservation Course at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium is included with admission. This is an 18-hole miniature course designed by Jim Fazio and Gary Nicklaus, located in the Science Center’s beautiful backyard.

2.  Get out on the water.

With so many waterways right in our backyard get Dad on the water! Whether he loves fishing or wants to go kayaking, or paddleboarding a day on the water is sure to make Dad happy. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

3. Go for a Bike Ride

Spending the day cruising around on two wheels is fun and also healthy for Dad and the kids. Try a bicycle scavenger hunt to make it even more interesting. Dad doesn’t own a bike? You can rent bikes from Jupiter Outdoor Center at Riverbend Park or the Visit Palm Beach Kiosk in Downtown. You can even reserve them online go to https://www.visitpalmbeach.com.

4. Go camping

Camping is a great way to get some fresh air and take a break. You can also pitch a tent in your backyard. Especially if your kids are too young to make it through a night at the campsite, consider setting up a tent in your backyard for a similar experience.  Make sure to grab stuff to make  over the fire – smore’s, hot dogs etc are easy to roast over a fire. If you are in your backyard, you can always go inside if it gets to hot and buggy.

5. Make Art together

Want to make a gift with Dad or paint something for Grandpa? Paint dad a new mug or stein! Check out Picasso’s Creative Workshop, You can make it ahead of time or paint it together on Father’s Day. www.gopicasso.com.

All Dad wants for Father’s Day: sandwiches, sunshine, and his favorite people hanging out. Head out to the park or beach!
